The British Youth Council is saddened to learn of the death of Her Majesty The Queen. Throughout the Queen’s reign as Head of State, she has been a patron of 433 organisations including a number of charities serving children and young people in the UK.
The Queen, who succeeded to the throne at the young age of 25, has provided her voice, platform, and inspiration to successive generations of young people throughout her service. The British Youth Council acknowledges that many in its networks will mourn and celebrate the life and legacy of the Queen.
Sarah Staples, Chair of the British Youth Council said: “We pay tribute to the memory of Her Majesty The Queen. A legacy of exemplary service to the UK, and successive generations of young people.
