The British Youth Council's Board of Trustees is a group of 13 young people aged 25 and under who are elected by our members at the Annual Council Meeting each year. As the British Youth Council’s lead representatives they are responsible for guiding the strategic direction of the charity.

The British Youth Council has a staff team based near Old Street and in various regions who are working with members, young people and partner organisations to empower young people across the UK to have a say and be heard.

Following each Annual Council Meeting, the MPs are re-elected or elected as our Honorary Presidents. Each year three MPs, one from each of the largest three parties in the House of Commons, are elected to this position. They champion the British Youth Council’s work to other parliamentarians, and try to highlight the British Youth Council’s work and your voice to decision makers and the Government.
