This award accredits the learning of young people who volunteer for a minimum of 10 hours to give advice to their School Nursing Service to help improve the services that young people in their area receive.

The role of School Nurse Champions is to find out what other young people think about the school nursing they receive and work with staff from the School Nursing Service to advise them on any changes they should make.

This award enables them to record their learning and development and awards the positive contribution they make to their community. This award has been developed in partnership with the North West Regional Youth Work Unit and with support from the Department of Health.
