peer support

Peer support is an umbrella term used to describe a variety of ways in which people share their experiences and support others in similar circumstances.

Having access to support from their peers can have many benefits to young people experiencing health related challenges. We believe peer support should be an essential part of every young person’s healthcare plan.

The NHS Youth Forum have created a poster and film to promote the benefits of young people accessing support from their peers, and a ‘Dear NHS’ postcard which asks those key questions to healthcare professionals.
