BYC and UK Youth Parliament spokespeople have been busy promoting our campaigns to the media on Votes at 16 in the expectation an announcement will be made on 16 and 17 year olds' entitlement to vote in the referendum on Scottish independence. Even Radio Russia want to know what young people think!

Rhammel Affleck (British Youth Council Campaigner and spokesperson, former MYP for Kingston and current Procedures Group representative for London - pictured above) appeared on the BBC's Daily Politics show to talk about lowering the voting age. Watch Rhammel's appearance here. Oldham MYP Ebony James appeared on BBC Breakfast on Friday, and Joe Williams, MYP for Salford, talked on BBC Newsround at 5pm this evening.

If you support lowering the voting age to 16, now is a good time to campaign or write a letter to your MP. To find out more visit the Votes at 16 Coalition.
