Lloyd Russell-Moyle, a board member of the European Youth Forum, visited the British Youth Council (BYC) offices ahead of the 'March for the Alternative' rally on March 26th.

As British Youth Council Alumni, we are proud to see a former trustee now working in Europe, empowering young people at an international level. Here's what Lloyd had to say about working for the European Youth Forum:

I was delighted yesterday to visit the British Youth Council as one of my contact organisations in the European Youth Forum (YFJ). The European Youth Forum is the largest youth democratic body in the world representing all European national youth councils from Russia to Iceland. I am proud to be originally from the British Youth Council and sit on the board of the YFJ promoting youth rights across Europe. I am especially pleased that BYC will be joining our European expert group on Votes at 16. I am looking forward the YFJ and BYC working together, launching a European wide strategy for Votes at 16 and other important issues that effect all young people in Europe.

Would you like the opportunity to get involved in setting the direction of a national youth-led charity and representing its members' interests? Then apply to become a BYC Trustee now.

Lloyd was also excited to be part of the BYC Campaigners team supporting Choose Youth at the March the following day:

I am looking forward to marching with BYC members and other young people against the cuts tomorrow afternoon to help promote youth services and education for all.
