An Early Day Motion has been tabled by Louise Ellman MP welcoming the founding of the Youth Select Committee (pictured) and recognising the work the committee does in inspiring young people to take more interest in politics.

So far 33 MPs have lent their support to the Early Day Motion including Green Party leader Caroline Lucas and former leader of the Liberal Democrats, Charles Kennedy.

The Youth Select Committee - which features three MYPs amongst its number - recently conducted the second of two oral evidence sessions on public transport.  They will publish their findings in the autumn.
