Participation Works

Participation Works is a partnership of six national children
and young people's agencies (including BYC) that enables
organisations to effectively involve children and young people in
the development, delivery and evaluation of services that affect
their lives.
Participation Works offer a range of products and services that
include: training and consultancy, publications and toolkits, a national network of participation workers (the
Participation Works Network for England); and an Online
Gateway that offers a wide selection of information, the latest news and supporting resources on
participation.
As a young person, what can I do?
Participation Works - Youth at the Table is a one-day course just
for young people to support you as you get involved in
organisational decision-making and running - for example as a young
Trustee. Qualified Participation Works trainers - including some
who are aged 16-19 themselves - have been instrumental in the
development and delivery of the training programme.
Participation Works - Saying Power is a flexible training course
that enables children and young people to get more involved in
organisations' service design, delivery and evaluation and to
advocate your voices, views and opinions to others. It is an
accredited learning programme that equips young people with
knowledge and skills to lead a project and will give you at head
start when accessing further educational opportunities.
