James
joined BYC as CEO in Jan 2008 having worked ten years at The
Prince's Trust HQ. He's done lots of different jobs with young
people, as a Probation Officer, a social worker, a youth worker and
a mentor- but started it all as a community volunteer, building an
adventure playground!

David Clark is Deputy Chief
Executive and Head of Programmes & Policy at BYC where he
oversees a variety our work in the UK aimed at empowering young
people to get actively involved in society. David also leads on
policy and campaigns, developing the organisation's membership base
and strengthening BYC's network of youth councils across the UK,
the UK Youth Parliament and the Young Mayors Network. He joined BYC
in August 2006 as Programmes Coordinator, having previously worked
for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution as South East of
England Education Manager. Previously he was Union Welfare Officer
at the University of Plymouth Students' Union for two years and is
a qualified primary teacher.

Paul Boskett MBE - Youth Democracy Manager

Paul has over 30 years professional youth work experience with
young people in a Local Authority context. In recent years, he took
up a national role in the Voluntary Youth Work Sector with the UK
Youth Parliament, becoming their Operations Manager in 2009, before
joining the British Youth Council when they took over
responsibility for UKYP from April 2011. He currently works
across the UK as BYC's Youth Democracy Manager, which includes
supporting the UK Youth Parliament, Youth Councils and the Young
Mayors Network. Paul is currently President of the Community
& Youth Workers Section of Unite, Chair of the Staff Side,
Joint Chair of the main Joint Negotiating Committee (JNC) and an
active supporter of the Choose Youth Campaign. He has also
been involved with Scouting for over 28 years at Group, District,
County and International level, and continues to be an active Group
Scout Leader in Crewe. Paul was awarded the MBE for services
to young people in the 2010 New Years Honours List and was
delighted to receive the award from the Queen herself in March

Keith joined BYC in March 2011 after having worked for various
charities as a volunteer officer. He has worked with young people
for over 8 years as a youth worker and Connexions Personal Advisor.
He graduated in 2011 with a MA in International Politics and Human
Rights. His role involves developing and delivering the BYC
programme supporting 5 Full time 24/24 programme volunteers and BYC
campaigning activities. He is also the lead for the delivery of and
support for BYC's awards.

Zoe first came to BYC in 2008 as a full time volunteer after she
completed her undergraduate degree. After volunteering she was
offered part time and then full time work within the Programmes and
Policy department. Zoe left BYC in September 2010 to study full
time for her MA in Criminology at the University of Kent. After
finishing this she rejoined BYC as Membership and Communications
Officer. She is currently the central point of contact for the
administration of the UK Youth Parliament, and the first point of
contact for our 200+ membership organisations as well as potential
members.

Anna joined BYC in April 2011 after having worked with the UK
Youth Parliament since 2003, prior to which she helped establish a
Youth Communications project in Worcestershire involving a radio
station, web portal and free-phone helpline. Anna has also
worked in youth centres on targeted projects for young people with
learning and behavioural needs; ran drama and positive press
groups, and established the Worcestershire Youth Cabinet to amplify
young people's voices across the county. She is a part time
qualified youth worker, with a BA Hons degree in Literature, Life
and Thought.

James has been Head of International at BYC since 2009, before

Jemma joined
BYC in March 2012. She was previously Head of Communications and
Publishing at The Who Cares? Trust, a charity for young people in
and leaving care, and has also worked for The Prince's Trust and
and Monitor - the regulator of NHS Foundation Trusts. Jemma has a
BA in Sociology from The University of Birmingham, and a
Professional Diploma in Public Relations from the CIPR. She is also
a Community Governor at a primary school in East London. Jemma is
the first point of contact for BYC media enquiries.

Thomas
joined BYC as New Media and IT Officer in March 2012, before which
he worked in the music industry as a journalist, television
producer and digital specialist after graduating with a BA in
Philosophy from University College London. His role involves
digital content creation and development of online communications
platforms, all with a view to promoting positive images of young
people.

As of March 2012, Katherine has been at BYC for just over 18
months, bringing in funding for BYC's projects and core work from a
range of sources including statutory bodies, trusts and
foundations, corporates, and occasionally individuals. Before she
joined BYC, Katherine worked as a fundraiser at volunteering
charity TimeBank and literacy charity Volunteer Reading Help, and
briefly on the scholarships team at the Inner Temple.

Abi joined BYC in 2007 after a
doing an MBA in International Finance. She has more than 10 year's
experience working in finance, administration, IT and procurement
related roles. Abi's role at BYC involves working directly with the
CEO and all departments with planning, managing and supporting the
accounting, budgets, cash management and administration. She also
oversees the BYC's outsourced IT support service.
