As a charity, BYC relies heavily on the organisations and
individuals who support our work, whether financially, by
giving their time, energy and expertise to working with young
people, or by being advocates and ambassadors for BYC and young
people.
If you think you may be able to help us in some way, please
contact James Cathcart, Chief Executive, by email or on
0207 332 2641. We are always keen to explore new possibilities and
partnerships and to make sure that our work is shared as widely as
possible.
All Party Parliamentary Group on Youth Affairs
BYC coordinates the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on
Youth Affairs, with NCVYS and YMCA England, which allows parliamentarians to
meet about issues affecting young people.
The APPG on Youth Affairs is a group of MPs and Peers in
Parliament who share an interest in the issues that affect young
people. They meet several times throughout the year, often inviting
a Minister to join them. The group currently has around 70 members,
from both Houses of Parliament.
Stewart Jackson MP (Con), Stella Creasy MP (Lab) and Simon
Hughes MP (LD) co-chair the APPG. Other officers of the group are
Vice Chair Peter Bottomley MP (Con), Treasurer Lisa Nandy MP (Lab)
and Secretary James Morris MP (Con).
